Anime Expo

Posted on 2008.07.06 at 15:11
I recently got back from Anime Expo 2008 and I have to say, it was one to remember. I got to hang out with Erin, Jazz, Taylor, Brittany, Alex, Dillon, and a whole bunch of random other people. Even though I didn't really purchase anything, I did have a lot of fun there (and have a bite mark to prove it).
I will probably write more later.

Freedom, Happiness, Love, Creativity

You are looking upon a sigil made by me. What is a sigil? It is a construction of random signs and symbols that means something to the creator. In this case, it represents the magic of freedom, peace, equality, love, happiness, creativity (on canvas, paper, computer, and everything else), and nonconformity, as well as the goal that people will help one another. Supposedly, if this sigil is passed around and seen by enough people then there will be a spread of those above forces throughout this world and push that freedom and love up from the bowels of society into the top of every corporation and company (just or not), through ever household, every television, every police station, every poverty stricken nation, and everything else in and around this world.

Now, does this mean that it completely depends on you to put this up somewhere somehow? Does it come to you doing anything extreme? No. Because, honestly, all you can do is help this along, for even by looking at this you have helped spread it.

Now, do you have to believe in this thing just "miraculously" bringing about a new era of change? No. You don't have to believe in any of that bullcrap. All you have to believe in is the idea behind it; the idea that peace, freedom, happiness, creativity, and helpfulness are GOOD qualities and should be spread far and wide to help the rich and the poor, the righteous and the downtrodden. The belief that this generation should HELP this world become better, and not just sit back and let it get worse.

Now, if you do, say, post this up somewhere, does that mean u can sit on your ass and do nothing; does it mean that you can just watch the news speaking about the Katrina refugee camps and say to yourself "Hey, I already helped all I can." NO. This means that you promote the spirit of helping one another and will DO things about it. Now, I am not telling you to leave your jobs and go do great things in the world like a new-generation Mother Teresa. I am merely asking you to maybe hold a door open for an old lady, stop a minute in your busy day to help someone pick up a stack of papers they dropped in the hallway, offer a nickel to someone searching their pockets for change in a grocery line, through a single cent into any charity cans that you feel have good causes behind them, maybe even do a few hours of community service. Basically, just try and be a decent human being.

Now, do I honestly believe that everyone is going to do this? No. Do I think that reaching one little kid in florida who feels like the world is just full of let-downs is enough for posting this entire thing and working hard to try to promote the idea behind it? Yes, yes I do. You know why? 'Cus ONE single change in ONE single person is better than nothing.

So, if you wish to put this up on ur signature on some website or just post it up somewhere, then here is a link for you:

http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b63/spitfire327/M.jpg

Now, if you, maybe, wish to put this on other signatures from different places, then I sincerely appreciate your effort and hope that are sincere in helping this cause.

Now, for the rest of you out there, I am just hoping that I am not the only one that feels this. That I am not the only one who feels that the old ideals of the love, happiness, creativity, and freedom have not disintegrated into just mere words. There is substance behind those words, you know it as well as I do; so help prove it with me.

sincerely,
Kranos

Is it wrong...

Posted on 2006.09.24 at 00:06
Is it wrong to care about the environment but not the people in it?

The environment feels more a part of me than the 'human race' that I supposedly belong to; the environment is an extension of my Self, as am I an extension of the environment. Other people are just aliens. But, don't get me wrong, I do not disassociate myself from everyone; far from it. I just tend to feel as if I am on a peninsula, attached to the masses by a thread but not entirely cut off because there are others here with me (you all know who you are). I believe this to be the peninsula of the philosophers, the artists, and the eccentrics. The anarchists and social deviants. The dreamers and the activists. This is a path that has lead to absolute nothingness, nirvana, and insanity.

... or maybe I just over-think these things. Maybe I just see myself as different because of how many people are all the same these days.

Ya........

So... Jr. year is ending up to be harder than I expecrted, especially with work. In lue (I have no idea how to spell that so I shall just ignore and continue) of this, I am probably going to quit my job at my lovely store. -_-;; I don't really want to, but I don't think I can keep work, grades, and spirituality balanced at this point and the latter two are more important (to me, at least) that the former. So, ya: I shall hopefully be sending in my two week notice tomorrow.

Anyways, have continued reading a whole bunch of books including Nocturnicon, Chakra Healing, Generation Hex, Sex and Rockets: The occult world of Jack Parsons, and a couple of sites online. I am hoping to learn more about chakras and energy lines soon, but are sticking to finishing the other books first.

Oh! I also bought both the Silent Hill movie and V for Vendetta widescreen editions and have formatted them for my ipod; hooray for being able to tune out U.S. History with anarchy.

ramblings

Have you ever wondered "why" about something? Or 'how?' Or any question, for that matter, that is not a neccessity?
All of you have would probably answer yes to that question, but have you ever asked about why you even asked it; why do we question so much?
Is it that we have some sort of natural curiosity bred into our minds? Or are we all just interested in finding out as much about the world as we can. If we are all so curious, then how come people just accept the answers they are given? Is our natural curiosity going down the drain? Are we dulling by the generation, or is it just a cultural gap, one generation having had the solutions proven to them in their own little way(s) while the new one is just experiencing their own discoveries that rival those of the last? If so, then wouldn't you think that their would be more and more solutions everyday? Well, there are, but why aren't they being used? We have ideas for hydrogen powered cars, fussion reactors, and cures for cancer; why aren't these being used? Is it because of the money to fund them? That seems like the most logical reason to most, but I wish to think deeper. Is it really that they can't or won't fund them because of the money? For some it is true, I agree, but I am wondering if, maybe, it is the concept of that generation's ideals being changed; they are afraid of it. Now, what exactly could they be afraid of? Is it the changes, or maybe even something deeper: their fantasy of a peaceful society with the environment and technology interblending has become a reality for us. But, again, why would they fear this? Maybe, just maybe, it is because of jelousy; they ahve given up on such a thing long ago in search, instead, of the realistic goals of merely surviving in the world passed down to them from before. Sure, they made changes, but nothing compared to the monumental ones today that seem to bring their childhood TV shows back to life. But they have given up on this so entirely that they now shun it, believing it as nonsense. In fact, this may not only be applied to good things, but bad as well; there are people out there taht still disbelieve Global Warming. Now, I am not saying taht global warming is a childish fantasy, but that it is something that they did not wish to think of and continue to negate in an attempt to remove it from their sub/conscious minds.

.... or I am just crazy.

I miss somebody right now. I don't watch much TV these days.  ((I've seen the idiot box drain too many people's IQ's already)) I own lots of books.  ((LOTS of books))
× I wear glasses or contact lenses. × I love to play video games((used to love)) × I've tried marijuana.
I've watched porn movies.  ((in a room full of girls laughing at a very cheesy hentai)) × I have been the psycho-ex in a past relationship. I believe honesty is usually the best policy.  ((usually.)
I curse sometimes. I have changed a lot mentally over the last year. × I carry my knife/razor everywhere with me.
it goes on... )

Elves

"By the fern brake, deep and shady,
There I met an elfin lady.
Dressed in cobweb silk and flowers,
There she whiled away the hours,
Waiting until dark.

On the soft green moss beside her,
Lay a baby wrapped in eider.
Skin so fair and hair and hair like midnight,
The lady watched the coming twilight,
Waiting till 'twas dark.

Silently, I sat beside her,
Hoping for some words to gather
In my numb and startled mind.
Said the lady, "You're most kind
to wait with me till dark."

"Are you lost?" I asked lady.
"Is this your home, this fern brake shady?
Will others come by star and Moon?"
She smiled, began to croon
To the elfin child.

The baby slept. The lady told me
Deep magic of the Earth and Sea.
Spells she whispered, strog and old.
"Use them well," she said. "Be bold
When spelling in the night."

"Can I work these?" The lady smiled,
Gathered up her sleeping child.
"Oh yes," she answered, " 'Tis a boon
For waiting with me till the Moon
Slips up the sky."

Thinking deep, I sat beside her,
Keeping watch. I heard the rider
Coming through the fern brake shady.
"Are you there, my lovely lady?"
Called an elfin voice.

An elfin lord, his clothes all viney,
Armed with sword and dagger shiny,
Rode his horse into the fern brake.
Then my heart began to quake
On seeing his dark eyes.

Twilight gathered; birds were still.
The Moon came up above the hill.
Suddenly I felt alone.
"Have no fear, for you have sown
Good friendship."

The lady smiled and raised her hand.
Upon her brow a shining band
Glistening by the light of Moon.
"Would you too give forth a boon?"
She asked her lord.

"For here is friend, a watcher bold."
"But they are enemies of old,"
The elfin lord answered.
"No," she said,

"But guarded us in this fern bed."
He smiled.

"So there are some who wish us well."
His voice was like a distant bell.
A ring he took from off his hand.
"This will tune you to the land
and magic."

Its stone as pale, just like the Moon.
The air was filled with eldritch tune,
As they mounted, lord and lady,
Rode off through the fern brake shady.
I stood alone.

People say elves are not there.
But I have heard their voices fair,
When I sit down in the brake.
Magic spells I've learned to make
All from the lady.

Elf lord's ring is on my hand
To help with magic from the land.
Sometimes I talk with lord and lady
In the fern brake, deep and shady,
Secretly.

I there magic? For me 'tis so.
For whe the sun is sinking low,
I feel Earth's power within my heart
And know that I shall never part
From the lord and lady.
